Lance Hicks: Executive Vice President - Washington, Dobbs Truck Group
We are pleased to announce that Lance Hicks has been appointed as Executive Vice President – Washington for Dobbs Truck Group. Lance brings with him more than two decades of experience in the trucking industry, a strong history of leadership, and a deep commitment to both people and performance.
Lance’s career path is both unique and inspiring. After attending the University of Nevada, he began his professional journey as a high school industrial arts teacher and also worked as a fishing guide. He made the transition into the trucking industry, joining Rollins Truck Leasing in 1999 as a Lease Sales Representative. Then, in 2002, he joined Peterbilt in Sparks, Nevada, as a Peterbilt Lease and New Truck Sales Representative. He transferred in 2004 to Western Peterbilt in Sacramento, California, both companies having mutual ownership at the time, where he continued to grow in his career. Over the next eight years, Lance excelled as a PacLease and Peterbilt New Truck Sales Representative and later as a Peterbilt Sales Manager.
In 2012, Lance began leading the company’s PacLease Division, overseeing operations in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and California. His leadership and vision were instrumental in strengthening the division’s performance and expanding its reach. In 2021, he played a key role in broadening our leasing footprint into Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi, further solidifying Dobbs Truck Group’s national presence.
Beyond his professional achievements, Lance has built a rich and fulfilling personal life. He is married with five adult children and recently became a proud grandparent. Originally from Northern Nevada and Western Montana, he enjoys backpacking, elk hunting, and fishing. In his spare time, he also dedicates himself to attending church and spending meaningful time with his family.
In his new role, Lance is responsible for the growth of the Washington Region and will have direct oversight of the Washington Region General Managers and dealerships.
